Vintage Style Brass and Copper Kitchen Taps, Rustic Belfast Sink Taps (T5)
This is a beautiful pair of vintage style taps (2 taps) which have copper pipework and brass tap heads with detachable nozzles. These kitchen or bathroom taps are supplied with 6 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any Belfast sink or alongside the French copper basin and sinks available on our other listings. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap. FITTING : As these are fixed by screws from the top, not from a nut underneath, they are not suitable for a quartz, marble, slate or granite top. These are suitable for wooden and laminate worktops.

These have been well made and has a nicely polished finish, they are supplied in one piece not in separate pieces and do not come apart. See our other listings for our full range or taps including wall mounted, deck mounted and mixer taps as well as our unique copper sinks and basins up cycled from French copper cooking pots. QUESTIONS - please see below for the answers to our most frequently asked questions. Total height including tap head (excluding fittings below) 26cm. Total measurement from tap outlet - excluding detachable nozzle to base of tap fitment 16.5cm (clearance).

From tap outlet - including detachable nozzle to base of tap fitment 13.5cm (clearance). Outlet projection from pipe centre to tap outlet centre 12cm. 15mm tail connections, suitable for all standard kitchen sinks and bathroom basins.

Yes you can, please see listing ending (T6). These measurements are not suitable for me, can these be made to my own measurements? Yes, these taps can be made to measure at no extra cost. Please see listing ending (T11). Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps? See our other listings where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including pillar taps, wall mounted taps and a beautiful mixer tap made from copper and brass. What size are these taps? See photos on each listing for the tap head sizes of all the taps we sell. What size is the water inlet pipework for these taps?

All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected. Can these taps be fitted directly into a basin or sink? No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit onto a countertop. They are fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter using the screws provided not from a back nut underneath.

Are these taps suitable for a bath? Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Can these taps be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top? No, these cannot be fitted to this type of worktop as they are fitted from above and these type of countertops would not take the small drill holes required. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of tops but this is still in the design stage.

Can these be fitted in a camper van? Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join these to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.

Can I use these as outdoor taps? Yes, these taps are suitable for outdoor use. How do I connect these to my water inlet under my sink or basin? Your water inlet pipe can be attached to these tail ends by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments. How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use? Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the tap, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster.

If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time. When will my taps arrive?

All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 days. However, this can occasionally vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly between April-October. These are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting.
