Vintage Style Brass and Copper Kitchen Sink Taps, Rustic Bathroom Taps (T23)

This is a beautiful pair of vintage style copper and brass taps, hand made and water pressure tested for leaks. These are made with quite small tap heads, ideally suitable for a small basin perhaps in a cloakroom or camper van. This particular pair were made to a shorter height than our usual pillar taps so would particularly suit an area where height space is an issue, eg. These taps have an industrial rustic feel with copper pipework and brass tap heads and come supplied with 6 fitting screws.

All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap. FITTING: These taps are fixed by screws from the top, not from a nut underneath, they may not be suitable for a quartz, granite, marble, slate top; they are suitable for wooden and laminate worktops. These hand made taps have been well made and have a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of copper and brass then this can be achieved by leaving them unpolished, over time they will darken to the natural brown copper colour. This pair are made using small tap heads with 15mm standard UK fittings which are suitable for bathroom basins, small kitchen sinks and camper van conversions but may not be suitable for baths due to their small size.

In addition, most baths have a different size pipe connection; check with your plumber first if these are intended for a bath and check the measurements. All our other taps have a 3-5 day dispatch time. See our FAQ section below for the most common queries about our taps. Total height including tap head (excluding fittings below) 20cm.

Total measurement from tap outlet to base of tap fitment 12cm. Outlet projection from pipe centre to tap outlet centre 11cm. 15mm tail connections (water inlet pipe) suitable for standard UK kitchen sinks and bathroom basins. I only want one tap, can I but just one? Yes you can, please see listing title ending in (T24) in'sellers other listings.

These measurements are not suitable for me, can the tap be made to my own measurements? We sell these as made to measure taps on our other listings.

See listing with a title ending (T27) where you can select you size from a drop down menu. Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps? See the'sellers other listings' where you will find 4 or 5 different styles as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass. Can I return these if they are not suitable?

What size are these taps? These taps have small tap heads and are shorter than our usual taps and so would be best suited to a smaller basin or sink, they may be too small for some kitchen sinks, see measurements on the photographs for exact sizes. The tap heads are too small for my requirements, do you sell any chunkier taps? Yes we do, these taps are made from small tap heads with 15mm copper pipework, we sell other taps including a chunkier 3/4 inch size version of these taps which have thicker 22mm pipe rather than the standard 15mm. See'sellers other listings', title ending (T40).

What size is the water inlet pipework for these taps? All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected. Can these taps be fitted directly into a basin or sink? No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. These are designed to fit onto a countertop. These are fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter from above using the screws provided. They are not fitted using back nuts. Are these taps suitable for a bath?

Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Can these taps be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top? No, unfortunately they cannot be fitted to this type of worktop as they are fitted from above and these type of countertops would not take the 6 small drill holes required. We are looking to develop taps for these types of counters but this is still in the design stage.

Can these be fitted in a camper van? Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant. Can I use these as outdoor taps?

Yes, these taps are suitable for outdoor use. How do I connect these to my water inlet under my sink or basin? Your water inlet pipes can be attached to the tail ends by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments. How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use? Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished.

A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep them shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets.

Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.

When will my order arrive? These are made by Martin who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting.
