This is a beautiful pair of vintage rustic style copper and brass, wall mounted taps, hand made, water pressure tested. These are solid 1/2 inch brass tap heads with detachable nozzles.
All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap. These have a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of copper and brass then this can be achieved by leaving the taps unpolished, over time they will darken to the natural brown copper colour. These are made with 15mm standard UK fittings which are suitable for bathroom basins, kitchen sinks and camper van conversions but may not be suitable for baths as most baths have a different size pipe connection; check with your plumber first if these are intended for a bath and check the measurements. DISPATCH TIME : can vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly from March-November.

The measurements available are not suitable for me, can the taps be made any longer? These taps can be ordered as custom size made to measure taps from our'sellers other listings' title ending (T9). Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps? See our other listings where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass. What size are these taps? Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes. What size is the water inlet pipework? All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected, called the tail end. Can these be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
No, these taps does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit into a wall. They are fitted by screwing the brass bases into the wall using the screws provided. These are not fitted using back nuts.
Are these suitable for a bath? Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Can this be fitted in a shepherds hut or camper van?Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant. Can your taps be used outside? Yes, all the taps we make are suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect these to my water inlet? These are best suited to be fitted on either a new build or a renovation where access behind walls is not an issue.
Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments. Can these be be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted taps? These are made to be fitted from the front on walls where existing access behind is available, this is usually where a house is having a refit or a new build rather than as a direct swap. These are designed and supplied as a complete unit already soldered together, as such they can only be fitted from the front of the wall. This means that to connect your water supply you will need full access to the wall behind where the tap is to be fitted. These units does not come apart and it cannot be fitted to copper pipe protruding from an existing wall. The water inlet pipe must be connected behind the wall.
How often will I need to polish my tap to keep it shiny and what should I use? Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny.
We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time. When will my order arrive? All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 days. However, this can occasionally vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly between April-October.
